Mr. Julius Pronto, Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Program Manager of the Counter Threat Messaging Support Program (CTMSP) in the Information Operation (IO) / Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) branch of AM.
He has 10 years of distinguished experience in Psychological Operations (PSYOP). He has served within the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Arabian Peninsula (CJSOFT-AP) and the Joint Special Operation Task Force – Philippines (JSOTF-P) as a Tactical PSYOP Team Leader to the Product Development Detachment Team Chief. He has managed and developed teams ranging from Pre-Post Testing, Target Audience Analysis, Measures of Effectiveness, Series Development, Product Dissemination, and Sensitive Site Exploitation. Mr. Pronto has conducted over 80 combat missions in both the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and the U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM) Area of Operations (AOR) with a total of seven deployments and no loss of equipment or personnel in his team.
After separating from the military, he worked for Acquisitions for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, closing out contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements. He subsequently interned for the Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration Services where he later became an Immigration Specialist.
Mr. Pronto will soon be graduating from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a double major in Criminal Justice and Terrorism Studies. He is also a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he initially enlisted as a Human Resources Specialist and later re-classed to PSYOP.
