Mr. Brett Shelley, Senior Applications Engineer, brings 20 years of IT experience to AM and the Clinical Knowledge Management (CKM) team that he manages, with a heavy focus on full-stack, object-oriented development.
He has worked on projects in both the government and private sectors. On the government side, he has held top-secret positions in national defense IT as well as public trust positions in VA Healthcare IT. In the private sector, he worked overseas as an IT project manager for Stuttgart Germany’s top automotive software company where he became fluent in German. He also has worked as a bioinformatics consultant for Merck and Pfizer. He has been an active contributor to open source software development with the highlight of developing a continuous integration Maven plugin for IBM’s Integration Bus product. Mr. Shelley also authored a book that narrates the concept-thru-reality development of a cloud-based software application.
Mr. Shelley holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA in International Business from Argosy University. He is also a U.S. Army Veteran where he served as a combat engineer, obtaining the rank of Captain.
